Canada Celebrates the Nation’s 150th Anniversary With New Collector Coins

The Royal Canadian Mint released new collector coins to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the nation featuring Canadian symbols. The famous hexagonal snowflake design representing the Order of Canada appeared for the first time ever on a coin. The coin is coloured with white enamel and is a part of the $20 fine silver coin series that celebrates this momentous event. Another unique release is a 5 oz. fine silver coin featuring working gears made from original copper cladding. It features the clock over Parliament Hill in antique finish celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Peace Tower.
