The Alley and Mill Site is engraved on the reverse of the Ozark National Scenic Waterways quarter dollar.

The Alley and Mill site in Eminence was under flood waters; however, after that, there was no hindrance of any kind on 5th June, which was the official launch date for the Ozark National Scenic Riverways quarter dollar.

The guest list included 1,600 people and 700 children. The Security Bank of the Ozarks, which was the sponsoring bank, exchanged $26,000 in face value of Uncirculated circulation quality 2017-P quarter dollars.

Seventy-two collectors showed up at the Echo Bluff State Park in Eminence where U.S. Mint representatives shared their knowledge about current and upcoming Mind products.

The quarter’s reverse design depicts Alley Mill, a steel roller mill built in 1894. The mill was mainly used to convert wheat into flour. Visitors do visit the site and are surprised to see the milling equipment still in place.

Ozark National Scenic Riverways is the first national park area to protect a river system. The site encompasses 80,785 acres of unique natural resources, including what the National Park Service describes as a world-class spring system that is unparalleled in North America, more than 400 caves, and other special geologic features.

The quarter dollar struck in honour of Ozark National Scenic Riverways is the 38th release in the U.S. Mint’s America the Beautiful Quarters Program, a 12-year initiative authorised by Public Law 110-456, which honours 56 national parks and other national sites.
