2017-06-05 Mon
Imagine yourself on the land where there is a complete desert… no trees, no shade, no greenery, no wildlife! The scenario you imagined was just awful right? We need nature because it is something which makes human alive from inside!
5th of June is observed as a World Environment Day. It implores us to get outdoors and into nature, to appreciate its beauty and its importance, and to take forward a call to protect the Earth that we share. We know about all the problems that nature is suffering because of us. It’s time we did something about it!
So, take a walk around the city, clean your neighborhood, plant saplings, spread awareness and make people realize the importance of the environment.
The World Environment Day is celebrated worldwide. Various coins and stamps have been issued to celebrate this day. India has issued a very beautiful stamp perfectly depicting the current scenario, the air, water, land pollution on the left and right and at the center the Earth is protected by the hands, signifying the purity of nature. This tiny piece of stamp on nature issue was issued in 1977 having the face value of INR 2.
The given coin in the image is a One Rupee Coin issued in 1989 on World Food Day. The reverse of this coin shows three wheat stalks, with the sun and cloud in the background, the legend “FOOD AND ENVIRONMENT”, “WORLD FOOD DAY” in English, “Khadya Ebam Paryabaran”, “Biswa Khadya Divas” in Hindi. The environment plays a vital role in the production of good crops and food.
Environment fulfills a number of our needs...But what are we doing for it?
It’s not yet late! If nothing can be done by you then at least do not harm the nature.
Let’s make India Green and a better place to stay on!
