Top Bids at CSNS Paper Money Auction

The only known $50 note from the Farmers National Gold Bank of San Jose was sold for $376,000 at Heritage’s CSNS paper money auction. The note is graded Very Fine 20.A unique $100 California national gold bank note from the First National Gold Bank of Santa Barbara (F-1164) in PCGS Currency Fine 12 was sold for $282,000, and one of two known $100 notes issued by the First National Gold Bank of Petaluma (F-1165), graded Currency Very Good 10 was auctioned for $246,750. A $100 note issued by the Union National Gold Bank of Oakland (F-1166) graded Fine 12 was sold for $235,000.
