Muhammad Ali Commemorative Coin Act

A new act has been introduced for the release of 2020-dated coins celebrating the famous boxer, advocate and philanthropist - Muhammad Ali. As per the new act, 100,000 $5 gold coins in 90% gold and up to 350,000 silver dollars in at least 90% silver would be released.Several coin designs are being considered by the Muhammad Ali Center and the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee. Collector qualities of proof and uncirculated commemorative coins will be issued.
The $5 gold coin would cost $35 and the silver dollar would cost $10. The surcharges would be used to fund several institutions like the Muhammad Ali Center, the Muhammad Ali Institute for Peace and Justice at the University of Louisville, and the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center (MAPC) and Movement Disorder Clinic.
Two bills were introduced and one of them would have to pass the House and Senate and signed by the President.
