Silver Tanka of Malwa Sultan Nasir Shah

In silver, the #Malwa Sultan Nasir Shah (r. 906–916 AH / 1500–1511 CE) issued coins in two broad categories: regular issues and special issues.Regular series.
The standard denominations struck were:
Tanka: 11.0–11.2 g
½ Tanka: 5.3–5.5 g
¼ Tanka: 2.4 g-2.7g
1/8 Tanka: 1.2–1.4 g
From AH 906 to AH 913, all coins of the regular series were struck on square flans. These square issues are marginally heavier than the corresponding denominations of the preceding reign.
Special issues
Alongside the regular series, a variety of non-standard and lighter coins were issued, including:
Tanka: 10.4–11.0 g
½ Tanka: 5.0 g
Light-weight Tanka: 8.75 g
Light-weight ½ Tanka: 4.35 g
¼ Tanka: 2.7 g
? Tanka: 1.3 g
1/12 Tanka: 0.8–0.9 g
These special issues are generally round and often bear distinctive designs or legends that set them apart from the regular square coinage.
