Very rare 11.45g, gold tanka of Gujarat Sultan, Shams al-Din Muzaffar II, Sold For INR Rs. 95,000 in an auction held in Ahmedabad on August 19, 2023.The mint name is often not visible on the coins of Shams al-Din Muzaffar II, but they may be minted either in Mustafabad or in Muhammadabad. Some of his coins were also minted in Muzaffar's name at Burhanpur in Khandesh.
This bears the legend Arabic legend Al-Mu'ayyad bi-ta'yid Al-Rahman shams Al-Dunya wa'l din abu'l nasr within scalloped circle on the obverse. Arabic legend Muzaffar Shah bin Mahmud shah al-sultan and AH date; within scalloped circle on the reverse.
