Now you can carry a tiny little newspaper in your pockets, purses or wallets. Now stamps will feature newspaper headlines. Issued by Australia Post and Isle of Man Post, these stamps will actually give u an insight in what’ has happened in the world.Commemorating some of the most significant events of the recent history of mankind, both of these countries issued Newspaper Stamps in July 2013 though with a different reasons.
The Isle of Man Post Office has issued six stamps in association with The Times newspaper to celebrate the paper's 225th anniversary and also the fortieth anniversary of the Isle of Man postal authority becoming independent of the Royal Mail. The headlines chosen by Isle of Man Post Office for its six stamps all related to events during the last five decades.
The stamps come with different denomination and depict different stories covering events like the assassination of President Kennedy, the moon landings, the final flight of Concorde, England's victory in the World Cup, the Queen's visit to China and Isle of Man postal authority gains its independence.
On the other hand, Australia Post issued a set of four stamps all with the same denomination of 60 cents. The stamps feature Sydney’s Dancing Man who goes euphoric when the World War gets over, Neil Armstrong’s first step on the Moon, Devastation of Darwin – an Australian town because of the Cyclone Tracy and giant victory of Australia in a spectacular race.
Carrying these stamps is like carrying a tiny treasure of knowledge with you. Don’t miss the opportunity.
