Vietnam is a Southeast Asia country. The dong is the currency of Vietnam since May 3, 1978. The State Bank of Vietnam issued Vietnamese dong banknotes in 13 different denominations, including 5000 Vietnamese dong.
In this 5000 Nam Nghin Dong, the obverse depicts Ho Chi Minh, the former president of North Vietnam. The reverse depicts the landscape of the Tri An hydropower plant. The State Bank of Vietnam is inscribed on top of the banknote. The Vietnam 5000 dong banknote was issued in 1991.
