Kavi Pradeep Commemorative Stamp

Kavi Pradeep was born Ramchandra Narayanji Dwivedi; he was an Indian poet and songwriter. He is best known for the patriotic song "Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo", which he wrote to tribute Indian soldiers, who died defending our country during Sino-Indian War.

Ramchandra Narayanji Dwivedi, also known as ‘Kavi Pradeep’, was born on 6th February 1915 in the small town of Badnagar in Madhya Pradesh. He wrote around 1700 song songs in his life. He got his first recognition for the patriotic song "Door Hato Ae Duniya Walo" in the film 'Bandhan'. He also wrote other patriotic songs like Aao Bacchon Tumhe Dikhayein’, ‘Insaan Ka Insan Se Ho Bhaichara‘, ‘Chal Chal Re Naujawan‘, ‘Dedi Hamein Azadi Bina Khadag Bina Dhal‘.

The Government of India issued his commemorative stamp in 2011 to commemorate him and his work.
