Tajikistan is a landlocked country in Central Asia. Dushanbe is the largest city and capital as well. It is bordered by Afghanistan to the south, Uzbekistan to the west, Kyrgyzstan to the north, and China to the east. The area has been ruled by Achaemenid Empire, Sasanian Empire, Hephthalite Empire, Samanid Empire, and the Mongol Empire. Later, the country became part of the USSR [Union of Soviet Socialist Republics].The obverse side of the 1 Ruble note features, “National emblem of Tajikistan, and graceful design”. The reverse of the note depicts, the “Flag of Tajikistan over the parliament building”. The translated legends on the note are, “National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan, One Ruble.
