Amelia Mary Earhart was an American aviation pioneer and author. She set many records in her life. Amelia Earhart was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Today in 1935 CE she made her first successful solo flight from Hawaii to California, a distance longer than that from the United States to Europe.

Amelia Mary Earhart wrote best-selling books about her flying experiences and was instrumental in the formation of The Ninety-Nines, an organization for female pilots.

In 2013, Grenada issued this commemorative stamp on Amelia Earhart to commemorate her work.
