Hemu Kalani was a Sindhi revolutionary and freedom fighter during the Indian Independence movement. His name is spoken with great respect by every Sindhi anywhere in the world.Hemu Kalani was the leader of Swaraj Sena, a student organization that was affiliated with the All India Students Federation (AISF). He was the youngest revolutionaries to be martyred for the nation's freedom struggle. At a very young age Hemu Kalani campaign for the Boycott of foreign goods, and the use of only Swadeshi goods.
He drowned in revolutionary activities and started participating in the act of protest with aim of driving out the Britishers. He was involved in raids and in the burning of vehicles belonging to the British Raj.
