Geroge I was a great king of Great Britain and Ireland from 1714 CE and ruled it until his death in 1727 CE. George, I was the son of Duke of Brunswick-Luneburg. In 1628, George I got married to his cousin Sophia and had two children. Later he divorces her for alleged infidelity and imprisoned her in a castle until she died in 1726.George I was the British monarch of the House of Hanover, he sat on the throne in 1714 CE at the age of 54. He sat on the throne after several royal deaths and a newly established accession order intended to secure a Protestant monarchy. Towards to end of this reign, the actual power of this reign was held by Robert Walpole.
