Canadian Post connecting with wildlife through stamp

2021-09-28 Tue

Grizzly, lazy, powerful and for some scary, but one cannot deny that captivating wilderness mystique which fascinates us since humans came in contact with bears. Canada is the home of roughly two-thirds of the world polar bear population. Canada Post has issued new series of stamps depicting close-up photographs of different bears on the four stamps.

These stamps are designed by Andrew Perro by using the photograph by Robert Postma and Michelle Valberg. This set of four stamps illustrates North American black bear, polar bear, Kermode bear and grizzly bear. While discussing the design Perro said ‘people want to connect with wildlife but don’t often see them up close. The subtle differences in the bear’s faces give them personality.
