Designs for the 2018 America the Beautiful Quarter Dollars to Be Reviewed

On 16th June, the Commission of Fine Arts has recommended the proposed designs for the five 2018 America the Beautiful quarter dollars. The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee will review the 52 proposed designs on 27th June.The reverse design of the Pictured Rocks quarter dollar, recommended by CFA depicts Chapel Rock and the single white pine tree that grows on it.
The Apostle Islands quarter dollar’s recommended reverse design features the sea caves at Devil’s Island with a lighthouse in the background and a kayaker in the lake.
Voyageurs quarter dollar proposed reverse design features a common loon with a rock cliff in the background.
The Cumberland Island quarter dollar recommended reverse design depicts a snowy egret with its wings outstretched, sitting on a branch of a salt marsh.
The Block Island quarter dollar proposed reverse design is a black-crowned night-heron flying over a Cow Cove beach, staring at Sandy Point. The North Light lighthouse is in the background.
The coins will be released in 2018 and they belong to a series which started in 2010.
