Robert F. Kennedy was the 35th President of the United States; he served the United States as a president from 1961 to 1964.
Robert Francis Kennedy was an American politician and lawyer; he had also served the United States as 64th United States Attorney General from January 1961 to September 1964. He had also served as U.S. Senator from New York from January 1965 until his assassination in June 1968.
When he was appointed as an Attorney General of the United States he worked very hard for civil rights for African Americans. He was also committed to advocating for poor and racial minorities, and also opposed the escalation of the Vietnam War. On June 5, 1968, when he was doing campaigning for the Democratic Presidential nomination in Los Angeles, he was shot by someone and he died very early at the age of 42.
