Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill was a British statesman, army officer, and writer. He served the United Kingdom as a Prime Minister between 1940 and 1945. Winston Churchill played an active part in World War II and again from 1951 to 1955. He was a Member of Parliament from 1900 to 1964 and also representatives of five constituencies.

Before 1940 he was a lonely figure in the United Kingdom, but his challenge to Adolf Hitler brought him to the leadership of a national coalition in 1940. Winston Churchill with the help of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Joseph Stalin he shaped the strategy of World War II. He led the Conservative Party back to the office in 1951 and remained prime minister until 1955 when ill health forced his resignation.
