Clydesdale Bank to Introduce New £5 Polymer Banknote

A new £5 polymer banknote is soon going to be released by The Clydesdale Bank and circulated from 15th September.The note will be produced at the acclaimed De La Rue’s Gateshead factory and will contain modern features like Spark® Orbital™, a colour changing security ink, in the shape of Scotland over the transparent window, making it visible on either side.
Officials have stated that the general public, businesses and collectors have welcomed the new £5 polymer note and are waiting in anticipation for it to enter full circulation. Officials have also declared that a new £10 polymer note will be introduced in 2017.
