Postage stamps; can be defined as a piece of paper issued by a post office or postal administration used to affix as a stamp on the address-side of any item of mail—an envelope or other postal cover. These postage stamps denote a specific value, which can be prepayment for postal service equivalent to its face value. Postage Stamps give us a glimpse of the important things, in an important time. In other words, the images on the postal stamps are used by the government to convey a message to the general public.Today Postage stamps play an important role in celebrating and promoting national heritage. India had issued a variety of stamps that covers a variety of themes. The above stamps were issued by the Indian government with the theme of Postcards in the year 1979. It was issued to commemorate the 100 years of Indian Postcards.
