Orissa CM Requested to Fast track Process of Lord Jagannath Commemorative Coin Design Finalization

On May 26th, Dharmendra Pradhan, the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, sent a letter to Orissa's Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, requesting him to avoid further delay in releasing the Commemorative Coin on Sri Jagannath.He also stated that he, along with The Ministry of Culture has been requesting Chairman, Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee, Puri to finalize some designs/photos of Lord Jagannath, through a series of letters that were sent on February, 11 & 24 and April 7. The management has however said that they would need more time to finalize the new designs of the Deities.
He mentioned that he would be grateful if the designs are finalized as early as possible since this commemorative Coin has a sentimental value attached with the people of Orissa.
