Market analyst Mike Fuljenz, president of Universal Coin and Bullion in Beaumont, Texas has observed that there is a considerable increase in the demand for bullion coins in the market at this point in time. That’s the reason why there is no need for investors to fear the possible increase in U.S interest rates.

As per his latest reports, in the period 1986 - 1987, the Federal Reserve increased the rates fourfold, while gold increased from $391 to $465. During 1994 -1995, the rates were raised from 3.25 percent to 6 percent and gold rates remained more or less stable between $370 and $390. From 1999 to 2000 the rates increased from 4.75 percent to 6.5 percent and gold rates rose from $262 to $276. From 2004 to 2006, the rates were multiplied 17 times from 1 percent to 5.25 percent and gold rates rose from $395 to $613. He has also reported that the U.S. Mint is selling American Eagle gold bullion coins like hotcakes.
