A collector from Baltimore named Chuck Link finally completed his coveted collection of 453-coin Overton set after 30 painstakingly long years. The last coin he submitted to Professional Coin Grading Service to complete his series of Capped Bust Half Dollars Prime Die Variety set by Overton was a 1829 0.120.The set also comprises of three Crushed Lettered Edge Proofs making a total of 453 coins. These Capped Bust Half Dollars are extremely popular among collectors. To complete the set collectors can obtain one representative for each of the “master” numbers. PCGS claims that Link’s set is the only complete set of its kind which has been graded by them. The rare 1829 0.120 was handpicked for $100 on eBay which is far less than its original value. The average coin grade of the entire set is MS63. Link was inspired by Willis’ Premium AU58 Redbook which helped him in his 30 year long journey.
