The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee All Set For a Grand Show

2016-05-31 Tue

On 27th and 28th June, the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) will meet at American Numismatic Association headquarters, Colorado College during the 2016 ANA Summer Seminar. The agenda of the meeting would be to discuss 2018 America the Beautiful quarter design proposals, sketches for Barack Obama’s presidential medal and the future of the palladium coinage program. It would be an exciting event for coin collectors to meet, discuss and share their experiences.

The CCAC was established by Congress in 2003 to offer advice on the themes and designs of all United States coins and medals. The Committee is a single voice for coin collectors, historians, sculptors, numismatic curators, and the general public. Students can attend weeklong courses designed for young and upcoming numismatists.
