2016-05-27 Fri
A European organization named Child Focus, also known as the European Centre for Missing and Sexually Exploited Children has gone ahead to observe International Day of Missing Children through a very novel campaign. The Belgian National Bank will be issuing a million €2 coins depicting the face of a missing child named Liam Vanden Branden, who went missing 20 years ago at the age of two.The coin is designed to "spread the hope for every missing child", as coins are exchanged from one person to another. The campaign is also extended to social media platforms like facebook, twitter and instagram. The general public is encouraged to post their pictures along with the special coins on these platforms using the hashtag #coinsofhope, each time they receive it from someone.
The official website of the campaign will show how the coins are spreading throughout Belgium and Europe. The campaign is specially implemented to tell the world that Child Focus and their European counterparts are there to help and that they will never give up.
