The Royal Canadian Mint released the 99.99 fine silver 2015 ½ oz Calgary Stampede Silver Bullion Coin, celebrating the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth organized for fearless cowboys, raging bulls and galloping horses. The face value of the coin is $2.The reverse design depicts the true spirit of the Calgary Stampede which was first held in 1912. The prize money at stake is $2 million in Cowboy athletes, making it one of the richest sporting events in the world. Though the bull riding event is glamorous, it is also the most dangerous one at the show. The design depicts a bull rider with all four hooves of the bull in the air. Other inscriptions include the Calgary Stampede logo and the cattle brand.
