Canada Honours Firefighters, Paramedics, Police and Military Personnel with Collector Coins

The Royal Canadian Mint in Winnipeg released a set of colourful coins honouring Canada’s firefighters, paramedics, police and military personnel. Each of these 99.999 percent pure silver coins can be purchased for $69.95.The federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau thanked firefighters, paramedics, police and the military, for all their brave efforts to save and protect the lives of Canadians. The Mint will also be donating $10,000 to the Red Cross fundraising efforts for Fort McMurray. $5 would be set aside from the sale of every firefighter coin – the first coin in the series.
The Paramedics coin would be released on 7th June, the Police coin on 7th August and the Military coin on 6th September.
