Silver Rupee of Durrani Sultan Shah Shuja Al-Mulk

The Durrani Empire was founded at Kandahar, by Ahmad Shah Durrani in the year 1747. During medieval times, it was one of the largest states which used to include modern Afghanistan, Pakistan, North-Eastern Iran, and Western India. They were the Pashtuns of Afghans capital Kabul is usually bilingual in Pashto and Dari Persian, this kingdom is also called as the Sadozai Kingdom or Afghan Empire. The Durrani Kingdom was founded by Ahmed Shah Durrani in the year 1747 CE at Kandahar, Afghanistan.Shuja Al-Mulk was a ruler of the Durrani Empire, He ruled this empire two times, his first reign begins from 1803 CE and ends in the year 1809 CE. His second reign begins from 1839 CE and ruled it until his death in 1842 CE.
Shuja Al-Mulk started his carrier as a governor of Herat and Peshawar from 1789 CE to 1801CE. He proclaims himself as a king of Afghanistan in the year 1801 after the deposition of his brother Zaman Shah. To sit on the throne he blinded his stepbrother Zaman Khan and replaces himself on the throne. He ascended himself on the throne in the year 1803.
This silver rupee was issued by Shah Shuja Al-Mulk of the Durrani Empire. He issued this coin from the mint Kashmir in the Hijri year 1219 during the 2nd year of his reign. The obverse of this coin is inscribed with the name and title of king Shah Shuja Al-Mulk. The reverse of this coin depicts a mint name.
