Big Ben Shaped Coin from Pobjoy Mint

After Eiffel Tower, Pobjoy Mint has released yet another unique coin in the shape of Big Ben for the British Virgin islands. Situated at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London, the tower opened in the year 1859 and its name got changed to Elizabeth Tower in 2012.The lovely coin marks the 160th Anniversary of the casting of the original bell at Stockton-on-tees in England. The bell cracked and was replaced soon after that. The tower has the world’s second largest four-faced chiming clock as well. The coins shape and intricate designs reflect the lovely architecture of this renowned landmark. The time on the coin shows 2:40am, the time the Queen was born.
