Coin Collector to Donate Her Collection for Charity

Catherine Boston from Richmond is going to donate 4159 five cent coins which she has been collecting since 2 decades for a charitable cause. She started collecting them when she was 12 years old in 1993 as she thought it would be a good way to save money.Ms Boston is donating her collection to Richmond-based charity Y Generation Against Poverty which works towards improving access to education for children living in poverty. She is finally relieved to find out that she can do something fruitful with her coin collection.
The campaign encourages Australian school children to collect five cent coins for the month of May and has collected almost 11 million five cent coins, raising $546,985 in the last 5 years.
