7,000 Visitors Attended the Singapore International Coin Fair

The 2016 Singapore International Coin Fair (SICF) which was held in April attracted thousands of visitors and featured over 100 different dealers and mints from20 different countries who displayed their coins and banknotesTwo new coin series: the Bhutan Lunar Monkey Coins and the Native Birds of Singapore Coin Set were launched by Singapore Mint officially at the event. Niue 2016 Hachiko $1 silver proof coin, featuring Japan’s most beloved Akita dog was also released.
The event included autograph sessions by coins designers and an educational forum called “Coin Collecting 101”. PCGS Currency from the USA and CMC Grading Institution Ltd. in Taiwan were present for grading who offered services at a special SICF discounted price. The grading companies also got a very good response. Collectors, buyers and dealers were happy with the business as well. Visitors got a chance to meet renowned American investor Jim Rogers as well who regularly attends SICF.
