Importance of Professionally Certified and Graded Coins
2016-04-27 Wed
Professional grading helps you sell your coin when you want to upgrade or liquidate your collection. Upgrading involves selling a coin to buy another similar higher grade one. Slabbed coins fetch better returns in the market as people rely more on them. Grading also helps in assessing the real worth of a collection. Today coins are also being sold online and professionally graded coins are preferred by buyers in such cases.Different grading companies offer different privileges to their members. PCGS and NGC have a minimum joining fee. For long term submissions non-fee memberships are available with ANACS and ICG. NGC provides membership privileges for existing members of the ANA.
It is definitely worth the cost and effort involved in grading coins as they are sought after by collectors in the market.
