The Vancouver Island's 1865 5c Rose stamp was sold in the auction held by Eastern Auctions conducts in November 2018. It was a great sale with 360 lot sale of the Highlands Collection of British North America. It was followed by 1194 lot general sale with material from Canadian lots the fetched an incredible mint example of Vancouver Island 1865 5c Rose stamp.

Only 30 imperforates sheets of the 5c stamp are available, a very small number of imperforated original glue exists on stamps. Hence this stamp was sold for an astonishing price of 35,666 dollars.
