Excitement Builds as Shukla Day Coin Fair 2016 Approaches Closer

Shukla Day is undoubtedly one of the largest and the most awaited numismatic fairs in the country. It was first observed in April, 1991 and was organized by Mr. Farokh S. Todywalla. S. M. Shukla dedicated his life for the study of coins and was instrumental in carrying forward the spirit of numismatics in India. This year, the fair is scheduled from 22nd to 24th April 2016 at the World Trade Centre in Mumbai.It all started with 7 dealer stalls and today has grown to a 100+ dealer stall event. Apart from wonderful exhibits, lectures and auctions are also held during the fair.
Participants who display their exhibits will also compete for the SM Shukla Memorial Trophy. A Committee is assigned to review the exhibits which can be between one and three frames. Participants would have to comply with the terms and conditions so that they improve their chances of winning. Apart from the trophy, there are many other prizes to be won.
