According to some media reports, India is going to release a new postage stamp to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The event would be organised from 20th to 28th November in Goa this year. A special First Day Cover will also be released during the event.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has organised a competition from 1st to 15th August to choose the final stamp designs. MyGov platform is accepting entries for the same. The winner will get a certificate and a partly sponsored trip to Goa for attending the festival.
