Over 400 lots of rare, commemorative and international coinage, as well as historically important and beautiful bank notes, certificates, and charters are going to be sold at the Morphy Auctions on 21’st April 2016.Some examples include a 10¢ seated Liberty Dime from 1883, produced from 1837 through 1891 which is estimated at $1,700 to $1,900.
A rare “5 over 2” Capped Bust half dollar from 1815 has an estimate value of $5,000 to $7,000. Only 47,150 such coins were minted.
Among silver coins, the 1884-O Morgan Silver Dollar is priced at an estimate value of $2,000 to $2,400.
Star banknotes include the $5 Silver Certificate from 1899 with the bust of handsome Indian on the obverse and a prominent “V” on the reverse. This special note is priced at an estimate value of $5,750.00 to $6,500.
