The Yaudheya, or Yoddheya Gana, was an ancient military republic in the eastern region of Sapta Sindhu.The name "Yaudheya" is derived from "yodha," which means "warriors." This group notably resisted invasions from empires such as the Kushan and Indo-Scythians. Rudradaman I of the Western Satraps remarked that the Yaudheyas were "heroes among all Kshatriyas" and "were reluctant to surrender."
