Modified Series IV 2016 Banknotes issued by Kyrgyzstan

It was announced by Kyrgyzstan officials that the Modified Series IV denomination of 200, 500 and 1000 soms will be released throughout the country from 1st January 2017. The characteristics of the new notes include a clearly pronounced portrait made by traditional methods, the word "catfish" in the lumen and the year 2016.The modified notes will be in circulation along with the old notes of the denominations 1, 10, 50 soms and the 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000 and 5000 soms national currency of the Kyrgyz Republic.
All the banknotes will have to be accepted within the country as the means of payment, regardless of the model year.
