India Post's New Issue on National Unity Day

On the occasion of 141st Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel India Post issued a new commemorative Stamp.Celebrated on 31st October on the, National Unity Day is also known as “Rashtriya Ekata Divas”. The day falls on the Birth Anniversary of the Iron Man of India – Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Spirit behind observing the National Unity Day is to foster reinforce our dedication to preserve and strengthen unity.
On this occasion Department of Posts has released a commemorative postage stamp with the slogan “National Unity Day – Salute to the Unifier of India”.
This Rs 10.00 stamp depicts a standing statue of Sardar Patel on a scenic background of a beautiful landscape with “Salute to the Unifier of india” written on left side of the stamp.
