Doctor Who’s most dangerous enemies - Weeping Angels were featured on 2014 1/2oz 99.9% pure silver proof coin. The story goes that in the 51st century, these quantum-locked alien killers were killed by Doctor when he trapped them in a crack in time.The New Zealand Mint Coin is struck for South Pacific Island nation of Niue with a reverse design depicting a Weeping Angel against a colour background and the inscription DOCTOR WHO also features in the design.
Mintage is limited to 5,000 pieces and the obverse features an Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue 2014 year-date and the denomination.
The coin comes in special Classic Presentation Packaging and a Numbered Certificate of authenticity.
