Yikes! It's Halloween week!

Halloween is celebrated all over the world. Many blood-curdling stamps have been issued by different countries.

One such stamp is issued by US Post on 10th October 1974 which features a scene from the American Folklore ‘The Legend of Sleepy Hollow’ written by Washington Irving. It is a comical ghost story. The face value of this stamp is 10 cent.

The scene depicts the headless horseman pursuing the protagonist Ichabod Crane. The blue and black color theme gives a touch of Halloween look to the stamp.
