2017 U.N. Stamps Subjects Announced!

The 2017 stamp program was announced by The United Nations Postal Administration which is scheduled to begin on 13th Jan with the issue of the seventh pane in UNPA’s China Lunar Calendar series, a Year of the Rooster pane of 10 $1.15 stamps and se-tenant labels.

Eight stamps will be issued in the Flag series on 3rd February. This series began in September 1980 and features the flags of the states belonging to the UN. They are updated when new nations join or when significant changes are made in the designs of their flags.

12 stamps depicting endangered species will be released for World Wildlife Day which is celebrated on 3rd March. 3 panes of 16, each with four different se-tenant stamps will be issued.

On July 1st,a set of six World Heritage stamps will be issued on the country’s 150th anniversary depicting sites in Canada.

World Environment Day June 5, International Day of Yoga June 21, International Day of Peace Sept. 21, and World Food Day Oct. 16 are the other important days which will be celebrated with the release of new stamps.
