The Royal Canadian Mint issued a 2017-dated 2 ounces 99.99% pure 250 dollar gold coin featuring a multi-coloured maple tree in autumn. This coin is the second maple canopy gold coin from the mint and the first one is already sold out. The mintage limit of this beautiful coin is just 150.

The reverse depicts the trunk and canopy of a maple tree with a bottom-top view. Three larger maple leaves are falling from the tree giving the coin an autumn theme. The colours used on the coin beautifully recreate a day that’s witnessed in autumn. The golden surface of the coin adds a glimmer of sunlight on the coin’s design. Other inscriptions include CANADA, 250 DOLLARS, and 2017. Obverses feature the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the inscriptions ELIZABETH II and D G REGINA.
