Royal Family on Latest Canadian Coins

As per an official press release by the Royal Canadian Mint dated 27th September, new 99.99% pure silver coins have been issued to celebrate the visit of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte to Canada. The tour will go on till 1st October and is happening in British Columbia and the Yukon Territory.The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are visiting Canada for the second time but this time with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. This historic moment for Canada will be portrayed on silver coins by the Royal Canadian Mint.
The Royal Family has been depicted on Canadian coins before but it is for the first time ever that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte would be featured on coins.
The reverse recreates a picture taken by photographer Chris Jelf of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George and Princess Charlotte in full colour. The outer rim includes four engraved maple leaves, representing every member of the Royal Family. The obverse features the common portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
Only 10,000 coins would be struck and each one would be priced at $109.95.
