2018-12-28 Fri

Warren Gamaliel Harding was born on 2nd November 1865 in Caledonia, Ohio to Dr. George Tyron Harding and Phoebe Dickerson Harding. They were the descendants of Pioneer Ohio families of English and Dutch ancestry.

Warren G. Harding served as 29th President of the United States from the year 1921 to 1923, before dying of an apparent heart attack. He was one of the most popular presidents of United States, but the subsequent exposure of scandals which took place under his administration such as Teapot Dome scandal and other instances of corruption came to light, damaging his reputation. After becoming the president of the United States, he favoured pro-business policies and limited immigration. Before becoming the president of United States, he had also served his country as Ohio state senator, Ohio lieutenant governor and U.S. senator from Ohio.

The United States of America had issued a commemorative coin with his portrait on the obverse side.
