2000 Dong of Vietnam

The country is located on the eastern side of the Indochinese Peninsula. Vietnam shares borders with China to the north, Laos, and Cambodia to the west and maintains maritime borders with Thailand through the Gulf of Thailand, and the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia through the South China Sea. Its capital is Hanoi and its largest city is Saigon. The term ‘Vietnam’ can be traced back to the Trieu dynasty in 2 BCE.

Build your collection of foreign notes with 2000 Dong of Vietnam. The obverse of the note features a portrait of Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese emblem (Coat of Arms). The inscribed legends on the note are ‘The Socialist Republic of Vietnam’, ‘Denomination’, ‘Vietnamese Social Bank’ and ‘Year’. The State Bank of Vietnam started issuing these 2000 Vietnamese Dong banknotes in 1988. They were withdrawn from circulation in 2006.
