The United States of America had issued this commemorative 10 Dollars coin with the theme of Ida McKinley. Ida McKinley was the first lady of the United States of America and the wife of William McKinley the 25th President of the United States of America.

Ida Saxton McKinley was born in Canton, Ohio, on June 8, 1847. She met William McKinley at her father’s bank and the couple got married in the year 1871. Due to her ill health, she spends much of her time at home. Despite her health problems, as the first lady, Mrs. McKinley received guests at formal receptions seated in a blue velvet chair while holding a fragrant bouquet to suggest she would not shake hands. After the death of her husband William McKinley in the year 1901, she moved to Canton, where her younger sister looked after her. She died in 1907.
