The King of Pop
2016-12-22 Thu
From nothing to everything…By his back to back hits, he became the ‘Kings of Pop’. You know about whom we are talking about right?Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana, into an African-American working-class family.
He enjoyed a chart-topping career both with the Jackson 5 and as a solo artist. He released the best-selling album in history, 'Thriller,' in 1982. After 1980, he was noticed with a nose surgery and later skin whitening. It is believed that he suffered from Body dysmorphic disorder.
A shy and quiet person off-stage, Jackson never was truly comfortable with the media attention he received and rarely gave interviews. By the late 1980s, he had created his own fantasy retreat—a California ranch called Neverland. The Neverland stories were just part of the package of an increasingly unusual behavior of him.
Surrounded with so many controversies this man stood up everything and is still live in our hearts. His famous signature step and moon walk is famous worldwide.
Jackson passed away on 25th June 2005 due to heart failure.
Many countries honor this great man by issuing stamps all over the world. St. Vincent issued a se-tenant stamp of 6 cents, 1$, 2$ and 5$ portraying different pictures of Jackson.
No such great singer is ever born in the World until today!
