The people who know P.G.Wodehouse will have a broad smile on their faces now. Well if you don’t then need not to worry!

P.G.Wodehouse is regarded as one of the greatest comic author of the 20th century born on 15th October 1881 in Guildford, England.

He got a job as a banker and later realized his lack of interest in it and started writing for a comic column in a newspaper. His first novel ‘The Pothunters’ was published in the year 1902 followed by ‘A Perfect Uncle’ in 1903, ‘Love Among the Chickens’ in 1906, ‘The Swoop’ in 1909 and ‘P smith in The City’ in 1910.

Later he also wrote lyrics for musical comedies and got opportunities to work as a screenwriter in Hollywood.

A commemorative stamp celebrating his 130th birth Anniversary was released in 2011. The stamp has the portrait of Wodehouse in the oval frame with his name below and an open book above. It bears his birth date and the year of issue.
