300th Birth Anniversary of Spanish King Carlos III Celebrated on New Silver Coin

The 300th birth anniversary of the Spanish King Carlos III was celebrated with the release of a special commemorative 10 Euro / 8 reales 27 g .925 silver Proof coin with a mintage limit of 7,500 on 16th September. The King was known for his progressive and reform-oriented policies.The reverse features the king wearing the cloak of Grand Master of the Order of Charles III. The cloak was rewarded to people for actions that benefited the nation and the Crown. He was also the one who built the Puerta de Alcalá (Alcalá Gate) in Madrid.
The obverse features a portrait of HM King Felipe along with the inscription ‘2016’.
The coin comes in a blue presentation box along with a certificate of authenticity and specifications.
